Deceit

Hi all!
I own a Triton Le 76, an Alesis QS 6.1, a Korg EC550 and a Roland AX-1.
My purpose is to play the Triton Le midi channels with all the other three devices, so I think I need something to route the out channels of the three minor boards with the TLe...any (cheap as possible =D) suggestions?

Look at the MIDIMan interfaces. My 8x8 also doubles as a MIDI patchbay allowing me to route signals from one source to another etc.. They have a 4x4 USB which should support the same options but you might want to double check. The interface that shouldnt be that much and dont forget all the MIDI cables (extra $).
Thats the easy part, getting everything configured is another story. You may need to connect the USB interface to your PC and configure it as you need it. Then you have to setup your synths to talk to each other which can be a pain in the ass.
You might want to plan out how to not play the lead when your playing normal parts on the other boards. Possible suggestion is using a volume pedal to kill the output and let the signal go full active to the triton.

I use a Doepfer MMR 4/4 Midi Router. 4 Ins, 4 Outs, can be configured directly on the device no PC needed. Also Outs may be deactivated by just one button press. I bought it used on eBay for about $60. It's very solid (metal chassis). Now all of my four synths + my masterkeyboard can communicate with each other, it is really cool!

The M-Audio (Midiman) Midisport 4x4 can't be used as a standalone patchbay like the 8x8 can, because it's USB powered and doesn't have any buttons on it! It's a great unit apart from that, ultra reliable and very sharp timing... got a horribly annoying flickering USB light on it though that drives most users nuts until they either tape over it or take the unit apart and add some sort of rectifier diode in the signal path with the LED. As I work in an electronics shop, I should probably try the latter one day :)
I know the Edirol 8-channel midi interface can be used as a patchbay too... It might be worth checking to see if the 5-channel one can be, cos that's a bit cheaper and looks about the right kind of size for the units you've got.
