Hey there!
Well I tried to play some vst instruments live, via my laptop conntected to a keyboard through a midi-interface.
Now my question:
Is there any software that allows me to switch the vst instruments easily via midi (or somehow).

Thanx for your answers

In your host assign each instrument and fx chains to different controllers. Master in -> VST1 on channel 1 -> VSTFX on channel 1 -> Wave out. The next chain should use channel 2. Then all you need to do is change the transmitting channel on your controller to correspond to the instrument you want to play.

I recommend energyXT (and it's cheap).

I'm using console (http://www.console.jp/eng/index.html) for playing vst-s live and for all the midi calculations. I switch instruments that I play with 2 keyboards by midi foot controller's control change messages - so my hands are only for playing and I can use a "stupid" keyboard controllers that send only channel 1 ;)

but you can do it in many other ways too.
