I have a Yamaha P60 Digital Piano and I like to take good care of it, so I was wondering what the best way to clean the keys is, or what you guys do to clean your keys. I have a dust cover for it, but I still feel some sort of crumby junk developing high up on the white keys when I play. I was thinking about using Pledge (a dusting solution) or something of the like, but I'm not sure if that's good for the keyboard. So is there some sort of special cleaning kit you can buy, or is there a much simpler way that works fine? Thanks a lot.

Soap and a slightly damp cloth is all you really need for plastic keys.

I've owned a ton of keyboard gear in the past and I always used to use an old towel as a dust cover and use a dry soft cloth to wipe the keys down and keep'em clean, I never used cleaning products, I don't think that's wise. If you have gunk on the keys then I'd use a very slightly damp cloth to wipe the keys down with, nothing too moist though...

Your first step should be to always wash your hands before playing, that will greatly cut down on "gunk" accumulation. Typically for keyboards I just dust with a soft cloth (like an old t shirt). If youre going to use something like pledge, you should get the kind for electronics.

Damp cloth should do it. Worked for blood stains from a night of crazy glissandi.

yeah i usually use a damp cloth to wipe all the keys free of any loose dirt and just general grime n build up, then take a clean, dry paper towel and dry them all off right after to make sure i get everything off. never really had to use any products, and not even much water, and it seems to work fine. i guess if you got some grease on them, a little soap would be in order, cuz water wouldn't do much there, but otherwise, it's pretty simple!

Well usually I use some kind of anti-rust chemical stuff to make sure they always shine and I have no problem to use them.
Oh wait! You're talking about those keys?!?! Then I go with the damp cloth!
