View Full Version : What's a good horn patch for Disco on my K2500XS?
I have mostly been playing Jazz gigs, but a friend of mine asked if I would be interested in playing various styles (including Disco) with his group. I was just wondering what a good horn patch would be for disco?

Which horn exactly are you looking for?
A good patch for say . . . "That's the way I like it" by KC & The Sunshine Band.
If you have the Contemporary Rom take look at a program that's some numbers behind 879 (can't look it up right now), it's name is BrassNuckles or something like that, I can't remember... it's perhaps too soft, but it's good to layer with a program to make it sound better. Or do some programming and fit it to your needs...

check my signature :) We don't do JUST Prog sounds, but that's the majority -
Anyway, I'm sure we can help ya there!!
Yeah, I should probably get off my lazz butt and start programing some of my own patches. I have the piano daughter board, but unfortunately that's all I have. The "Miami" patch isn't too bad. Maybe I'll tweek that one.
Also, I'm thinking that a breath controler would be kind of fun.
You should try it - what would be cool is a controller like a talk box with which you can control different things by moving your mouth. Is there something like that?

Dave's (Enigma) signature sais it all!, PROGSOUNDS! Go there by

I went there and didn't see anything posted about horn patches. I saw some topics about programing. Maybe I'll revisit & read those. If I happen to come up with something I like, I'll try to remember to post it over there.
Thanks, John.

Well, the idea is sorta that you go there and ask for help :)
You can take a clip of the sound you want made and if it's urgent they usually make it pretty fast for you too...
Yup. Great site there in my Signature ;)
