Hi everybody,

I just found this pic of Marillion keyboardist Mark Kelly and was wondering about his gear - what is this small box right on top of the karma?

For more equipment details - just take a closer look at the mixer ;-)

maybe a modified Kaoss pad? I saw a vid from a Pre-Marbles show and he had a Kaoss pad that he was using. I saw a pic from the new NIN stage show with the membrane mounted to a plexiglass panel with all the guts hiding in the rack. Maybe this is the same sort of thing.

But yeah, that is so awesome. I'm glad I'm not the only one who keeps a mouse on his master controller while on stage :D

I also see that him and I have a bit similar gear... That could be why I like him so much. We're on the same technologically and shit.

seems a midi touchpad to me. i've found a similar thing some months ago. Is very useful for parameter crossmodulation like old X-Y joysticks.

I'd like to know what sort of program he's using to play patches like that (displayed on the screen).

That's Brainspawn Forte, a PC vst host designed for live use...and that's the SceneView feature...cool isn't it?

I'd like to have a look at the rest of the rig. It looks like there is a 2nd stand. From the mixer labeling there appears to be at least a Roland A-90 amd a JP of some sort. I think I also see a channel labeled VK7, so assuming that's the organ.

ja, he's got a Roland A90 on the bottom, VK7 in the middle, and a JP-8000 on top
