wow, the video quality sucks... at lot... and wow, joe fucked up the beginning of crush of love
the screen on that kurzweil va1 is small as hell, like half the size of the one the alesis ion which is like considered a lower end VA... not a "bmw" of its breed.... that makes no sense

and wow - The screen size really detirmines how good a keyboard is doesn't it?? I mean, I've seen CASIO KEYBOARDS with bigger screens then my kurzweil, so they MUST be better then right?

Bastardo Demono, I think that the video quality has to do with your connection speed. I have a 3 megabit connection and the videos stream at 340k/sec. They look great to me.
I think that the size thing is very subjective. My K2600 has a smaller screen than a Triton, does that make it better or worse? It's the sound and the ability to create sound that really matters. Your lucky to get a screen on any analogish type keyboard, thats what the buttons and knobs are for.

When you have that many knobs what do you need a big screen for? :)

wow, wow guys, calm down, im not attacking the synth, it sounds pretty sweet, I just thought it was wierd the screen was so small cause its a high end kurweil synth, not the microkorg. you've got a lot of knobs right, so you would want to see all the values for what you are doing twisting wouldnt you? To me it just seems like you probably would need a bigger screen
and yeah those casio keyboards with the big screen have a lot of stupid stuff you dont need like seeing the note you are playing on a staff or stuff they use for the built in lessons.
And I am on dsl which is like at least 128k... its not that the video itself isnt smooth, it is, it never skips a frame, its just really blurry for some reason

A ha ha no attack man ;)
It was just it made tonnes of sense to me as some VA's don't have screens at all. Preset functions, etc.. sure but I mean, just about any analogue or VA I've used don't really "need" the screen - When programming I find it very rare that I bother looking at it at all.
HOWEVER - Screen size is important, but what's more important to me is how easy it is to make the sound you want. If the screen shows one graph, but that graph shows me everything I need to know to make the right sound, then I could care less.
I guess to some people, size DOES matter.
Most of them own Tritons. *notice the triton/korg stab ;) ;)*

Guys, based on what I've heard from playing it over a
three day period, I'd have to say that this one's gonna
rock. It sounds fantastic and the price is about right for
the feature set you're getting.
