Good price for a kurzweil?

Hey, there's a new kurzweil k2600xs going for $3,495.00 on ebay. Plus the guy said $330 shipping to Germany. Could someone tell me if thats a fair price cause I have no clue. Thanks a lot.

The price seems fair, but you should know that you have to add 16% Mehrwertsteuer und 4% Einfuhrsteuer to the final price, which would be an extra 760$. They are hard to find in Germany, they cost about 4000€ which is too much in my opinion. You can get the K2661 with 61 Keys for about 2100 and add a 88 key Controller like the CME UF8, which comes to a total of 2600€.

You can get a K2661 für 2000€ in Aschaffenburg, www.musik-service.de .
The K2661 offers as much as the big 2600, bit it's only available in the 61 key version...

thanks for your answers guys. The problem is, that I want to actually play on the k2600. It's got the ribbon, the pedal inputs, the mod wheel (the looks) and everything. I just love the kurzweil and I dont want to play on a different board. :-)
You guys now any sotre in germany that sells the k2600?

You can also get the Ribbon for the K2661 for about 60 Euros and the Pitch and Modwheels are the same like on the K2600, same for the pedal inputs, faders and stuff, and msot important, the sound engine is the same. It has even got some extras like ADAT out and Smart Media Slot which the K2600 doesn't have. And 2000 Euro for 17 keys more is too much in my opinion. You could buy 2 K2661s for a K2600. The Prices for the old K2600 series are really crazy, the rack version costs 1000 Euro more than the K2661!

I can understand that you want to play on the board itself. The K2661 hasn't got weighted keys and stuff...

The stores where I buy my instruments sold the a while ago. You can just drop them a mail and ask them if they would order one for you.

Hello, having bought a kurzweil k2600xs will indeed be very useful to you......However, if you were to buy a k2600xs new from a store or wherever, and if it were an 88 fully weighted key, it probably yould be priced at a range between 37,99 to 3,999. Nevertheless, I've found it quite hard to "get my ahnds on one." So, if you can easily find one elsewhere it would cost very close to the same price, and not used. Overall it is a deacent deal but, can be beat.

You could try Nightsky Sound in NY. I'm not sure if he ships internationally, but I got my K2600X with 128MB RAM upgrade and the Orchestral and Contemporary roms, plus a 9GB hard drive with all sort of specialized preloaded sounds for around $3,000.00. Wait more time. If you dont care if its used, wait more time. I've seen about 9 or 10 that sell less than $1900 on ebay. Most of them sold for $1500-$1800. Also, there is one now with the bid on $1599. I doubt that it will go over $1900. Most K2600xs that are set at 1800 or 1900 starting price never sell. And they are even in great conditions. Just be careful of scams. There was one supposedly for $1000. It got taken down. Anyways, hope that helps, good luck! :D
