Hey guys, I wonder if any of you know her?

She's a pianist still learning in Berkly (I think), around 24 years old.

Anyway, she's AWESOME. Still young, I guess she'll get better and even more original in time. But she's just great.

We had a jazz festival here in Israel last week, when musicians like Billy Cobham, Bob Mintzer, Steve Turre and more great musicians performed.
Also, Hiromi was there, and I was just shoked with her playing, very dynamic and all.

After the show, I met her and said it'll be very cool if she and Rudess will do some tunes together, lol. She knows him of course, as a keyboardist.
It honestly looks like she's getting closer to the prog style. She played a Nord few times (aside of an awesome Yamaha grand).
She also loves Dream Theater, King Crimson and the like.

Anyway, check her out, and if you love it, buy her CD's (2) :P

Her site: http://www.hiromimusic.com/
You can find 3 full pieces played with her nice trio in the site.

And rudess, if you see this, it'll realy be nice to see you two playing together, hehe.....:P :P :P

Just wanted to share with you guys.

Thanks for sharing that with us - she's awesome! The counterpoint in her improv is unique.

The video clip on her website was great, and having the great Anthony Jackson anchoring that trio is icing on the cake. With him on board it has a Camillo-esque quality, no suprise. Do you know who the drummer is?

I'll definitely catch her at the Blue Note in January.

Wow!!

Well, I think Mr. Rudess deserves the reputation of his name being written correctly...Just a thought :)

I LOVE Hiromi! I'm so jealous that you got to go to a concert, and I'm checking the tour schedule every week to see when my first chance will be!

She's awesome.

I actually posted her Tom&Jerry Show on my GMail music-sharing idea (see http://jordanrudess.com/phpbb/showthread.php?t=4454 ).

I. LOVE. HER.

gonna order her cds now. thanks for sharing man! i downloaded some of the samples this morning before heading to school, put them on a cd, and listened to them the whole way to and back. and yeah, i think it would be really cool if her and Jordan did something together...musically :P i think an eventual duo album would be really neat. i think she could learn a lot of things from him and they could both create some awesome stuff. not to rule out that he could learn from her either. i'm just a little hesitant to say that, but you never know. we can always learn new things from other people, regaurdless of their age or experience. if no project of somesort, i think it would still be cool just to hear them together on stage eventually. i'd really wouldnt mind seeing this woman live, just her. plus, has anybody else noticed...shes freaking beautiful! (sorry jordan, i think she has you beat in that category...for me atleast :P) plus shes quite a musician, and could probably kick my ass at the piano. i think i'm in love :D

thanks for sharing, man.

Some cool stuff! Pretty impressive that she jammed with Corea at 17! This girl is my age and shes already accomplished more than I probably ever will musically. I dont know if that makes me want to quit, or to try that much harder!
