Is there a software that can convert Akai or any other file type to Kurzweil format?
I'm familiar with file editors such as CDXTRACT or Chickensys Translator,
but they only do the opposite.I need to convert TO, not FROM Kurzweil format.

i've used Chickensys Translator Free to convert TO Krz format. Also you can try AWave. Remember that those program converts only samples-based patches and not ROM Based ones.

Kurzweil reads the Kurzweil, .wav, and Akai formats. For other types such as gigasampler and Roland I would suggest CDXtract. I find it to be fast and easy :)

Even though Kurzweil reads Akai format, there are many criterias to be changed inside that file in order for Kurzweil to accept it.
Awave does the translating job that I was talking about, but for some reason, when i import the krz (made by Awave) file into my Kurzweil, it accepts the import, but it restarts its whole system each time i try to play the imported instrument...What can be the prob?

Enigma knows all about it, when you convert a patch like that, I'm afraid a little will be left of the original thing!
