I'd like to have a particular patch on my triton... the sound used in Great Debate at 2:43... this sound is used in glass prison too... have you got any idea??? a particular preset wich is very similar??

Hi,

i checked it out on the cd... you probably mean the sound playing unisono with the guitar. I have a similar sound on my Yamaha S30, but not as fat.

I can explain to you how it is made, perhaps you find it usefull:

The sound is actually imitating some sort of bassline synthesizer (like the TB303 or something). The basic wave is probably a sawwave. The screecking sound is caused by very extreme filterresonance. So you can set the triton's filter to a fairly high resonance, but mostly you let the velocity control the amount of cutoff from the filter. When pressed harder the cutoff is set higher and the resonating frequencies are higher. So the pitch of the screeckes responds to the velocity.

One thing you might need is some distortion after the filter. Most bassline synths had a distortion immidiately after the filter, and it just makes the sound even more extreme.

That's my suggestion. I hope it helps. If it doesn't work out please let me know, i'm willing to try to program the sound on my triton.
