Liquid Shadow

Check this out. Inspired by a thread of the same title in General Chat. The "song" is meant as a cool rhythmic melting pot, not anything harmonically or melodically interesting. I stuck to pentatonics for the most part so that there wasn't too much clash between different parts when they lined up certain ways.

Here's a breakdown of what's going on:
-The song starts off with a 7/8 conga beat (and the synth pad over it). This beat plays for 10 measures before the next one comes in.
-3/4 hammond groove enters. The 8th notes line up with the 7/8 bar at the same pace, but as you can tell, the different meters begin to line up in very different (and very cool) ways. The groove, 2 measures each time through, plays twice and then the next part enters.
-Plain 4/4 drum beat. It can also be heard as 6/4 if you consider how it lines up with the organ groove. With that in mind, this section plays 4 times, if you consider it as 6/4 with the organ and drums together.
-5/8 synth progression. It lines up with the drum beat again every 4 times through. It plays for 4 groups of 4 (so it lines up 4 times) and then the next part enters
-A 5 measure phrase of 4/4 with the lead patch. This plays for 2 groups of 4 over the synth progression, and then fades out for 2 groups of 4.
-The drums, organ, and synth all drop out at the end of their respective phrases and the congas fade.
Weeeeeeeeeee. :D
