Went up to 205 already. Sick. If my brother had a credit card, he would have bidded on it. Too bad.

What interests me if in what category this is in.

"Listed in category: Health & Beauty > Hair Removal > Tweezers"

Im kind of afraid of this keyboard now. Dont wanna lose my hair.

my guess is that it'll still go above $1500. That's usuallly the best way to get a ton of people to bid on your stuff by starting low and setting no reserve

What he said. Search completed items for other MOTIF 8's and I GUARANTEE this one will go for within $200 of the average (unless there are mitigating circumstances, like it's broken, or if it has lot's of upgrades).

Of course, people on ebay are dumb and they will bid as soon as they see something with a low price like that, not realizing that they are just drawing attention to it and DRIVING THEIR OWN PRICE UP. The smart way to do it is to wait until the very end and then bid at the last second, but even then the price is likely to go up several hundred dollars even in the last 2 minutes or so.

Come back tomorrow and tell us how much it went for. I bet the ending price is about 4-7 times or more higher than what it is now (205 pounds).

"This listing (5599205482) has been removed by eBay or is no longer available."

So the hair removal keyboard disapeared.

It was probably a scam, and now the seller is emailing one of the bidders...

Most scammers delete thier auctions in time to not get bad feedback.

Not necessarily, something similar happened to me the other day. I had an item on my watch list, and surprisingly the auction ended prematurely. It said it was because of the Buy-it-now, which was not an available option from the start.
So, I e-mailed the Ebay Security Center, and they replied that the seller has the right to revise the auction at any time if no one bid on the item, or if there is at least 12 hour remaining before the auction expires.
So in the Motif case, it could be that the seller found a better price somewhere else, and then cancelled the auction.

Best.

Probably not, because if the seller ends the auction early (for whatever reason) then it will say so in the listing (which will still be up but it will say "item ended early because blah blah blah"). More likely there was something "improper" about the listing, and ebay ended/deleted it.

Also, how could you know youre getting a better price if you dont even know yet what price you are getting? Typically, 50% or so of the final auction price is decided in the last 10 minutes or so, esp with these low starting bid no reserve auctions that might start at $1 and end up at $1700.
