Hi! I'm looking for something of the likes of the M-Audio Delta 1010. I'm about to order that one from germany, but I might want to learn about other options before spending the money. The price range lies between 300€ and 400€. Any ideas?

Also, what do you think of the Focusrite Octopre LE preamp? I'm needing a multichannel pre and this one seems to be cool as hell.

Thanks!!

I own two soundcards:

- a Hoontech Audio ADSP 2000 soundcard which comes with a 19" module holding the 8 in/outs and the midi connectors. It's a very good and cheap card for multichannel-recording, and I made best experiences with it. I only recognized that the latency for playing softsynths through an external keyboard is a bit too high, but for recording purposes it's no problem.

- an Edirol UA-25, which is a two channel USB-device. Only two channels, therefore easy to use with very low latency (you can play softsynth like the included adapted version of Reason without problems).

Both devices have analog and digital in/outs, midi-connectors and duplex-mode.

Just my 2 Cents, I can't tell much about the other modules you mentioned.

I think you must take a look at RME stuff. The Hammerfall DSP Systems are really professional. The sound quality IMHO is better than the M-Audio. These are great boards.
