Hey everyone, my name is Cole, and I am new to the forum. I am 13 years old, and Dream Theater..I think, rocks. I have been playing guitar for 1 year and keyboard for 3 years, trumpet for 3 years, drums for a few months. Here is a song I wrote earlier today, I was wondering what people here thought about it? It isn't finished yet, by the way.

Just leave that page open, and turn the sound up. I coulden't figure out how to like..host it or anything, so I made a website and put it as backround music. :)

Thanks.

Oh yeah, this was mostly inspired by a few songs from Scenes From A Memory, and a TON by Octavarium.

EDIT: And please, do not rate me as my age, I really wanna be rated like im older, so I think that it will help me get better, and stuff.

HA. Ron 'Tater Salad' White :)

Good stuff, man. I liked the piano part in the beginning and the bass line later on at the allegro. Noticed a lot of root position triadic arpeggios and runs and stuff. Cool stuff, but I think the runs in this piece would really benefit from being inverted or broken triads instead. An ending would also be good ;)

Overall though, good stuff. You'd probably garner a bigger response from the community if you posted VST-rendered mp3's instead of MIDI's. Keep at it 'Tater. I didn't want to bring up your age, but this is really quite good considering your age.

Keep us posted! I'd like to hear more from you.

That post was suppose to say 14, not 13. I just turned 14 and I keep forgetting. :), Thanks for the reply though, dude. I will post it as a mp3..I will probably have to keep the bass a midi though :).

I don't mind being called 14 or anything. I just want to be rated as if I am older, I don't want to be older. :P
