Thomas A. Edison said: "Genius is one per cent inspiration and ninety-nine per cent perspiration".
Do you think this is the same talking about musical genius?
Who could be universally considered a musical genius?
I'd like to know your opinions on this matter...
Philosophically,

Hi, fellow Italian. What is exactly "perspiration"? I'm afraid I don't get it!

For true genius, I think it is a natural talent
But by the same token, talent plus practice will lift someone's potential to even greater heights
However, I think there is a third part
Enjoyment
If one enjoys making music, then practice comes easy
I'd say that enjoymente helps you keep practicing, but is not a real third element. Instead I think that the third element is chance. The greatest talent and the hardest work possibly lead to no result if they never get the right moment.
