Hey everyone! I've been lurking around here for a while, and I've finally got something to post! It's not all that showy, but I think it's a cool tune. It's called "The Moog Raga". Once you hear it, I think you'll understand why =D.

Again, it's not anything too technical, I was just having fun. Enjoy!

Nice, very nice patches and drum pattern, very oriental...like it quite a lot!

Great stuff! I'm still listening to it but I love it. What software did you use? Were those onboard or soft instruments? What board were you using? I loved the percussion in that as well; simple yet it was perfect for the track.

Thanks for sharing!

I did it all in Reason. The lead sound was a slightly modified Moog preset (I think I only added a little bit of sustain) with a little reverb. The drone was an unmodified sample from the sound bank. I used the drum computer to program the percussion. I played the leads and the drone on an M-Audio Keystation 49e. I'm pretty new to the whole keyboard scene. I'm really a guitar player, but hearing Dream Theater prompted my interest in keys, so I bought a cheap USB keyboard and downloaded some trial programs. I liked Reason the most, so I bought it and started learning how to use it. I've never had any keyboard lessons, but I just switched my major in college to Music Composition and I have to take some piano along with my main and secondary instruments, so I'll be taking lessons soon. With any luck, I'll be recording much more music in the future :)
