If i have a british phone number, and i want to find out whose it is, could anyone suggest which website i should visit ?

I don't think that you can do this

Obviously, if you know a person and a town, then you can find their number at www.bt.com

If I am wrong, I would be amazed

Should be possible, if the number is listed.

Here in Holland I found a site where you can search backwards.

You type the number, they give you the name and address......

Exactly, that is what i'm looking for !

i can do it with the italian numbers too, but i don't find anything similar with the british telecom !

if anyone can help me... !!!!

Can you not just ring the number and see who answers? Our lives here are pretty boring so it's cool to have some confused Italian rign us up once in a while! ;-)
