Hello... I wanna show another original composition of mine. I think it's one of my best so far... I was inspired by Lifting Shadows &

Genesis. Lot of work went into songwriting, drums programming & production. I love how the drum sounds turn out. I was using

different drum patch than usual. This one sounds a bit like Phil Collins kit IMHO, especially the toms :) I also think my vibrato went a

bit better with this song :) (I'm talking about the guitar leads). I love how the delay rhythm gtr turned out as well.. this is my first time :)

I wanna hear what you guys think about the piano sounds... i think it's not too bad, since my only source is Korg Trinity.

Let me know what you guys think of it!

hey man,
nice stuff u have there, the guitar sounds very good, even for a real one... : )

the drums don't sound too good, you should turn it's level a bit, and maybe have sum reverb on it,
it's 80s' stuff actually...

the background music is very adequate and the lines fits perfectly... nice tune...

Thanks man.. actually you're the first one saying it has bad drums.. probably just different taste.. cause the drums are already flooded with reverb :)

Well... Genesis is an eightys band... and i love 80s! :)

Synthz,

Really cool song, really liked this one and the drums were great, really reminded me of that Phil Collins song 'In the Air Tonight'. I really like how you play your leads, they're never over kill and fit in nicely within the song. The only thing I did'nt like too much was the clean guitar rhythm part throughout the song, IMO I think this sound should be more muted sounding with maybe a stereo ping-pong delay which is beat sync'd to the song.
The piano tone was really nice, I don't ever remember a trinity piano sounding that good (ex TR-Rack owner here!). Another good job..:)

The piano is awsome at the begginning and the way the melodies change as the lead guitar comes is smooth. Thats just a really cool song, How long did it take to create?

Thank you Axe2Grind... Sweet.. you dig the drums! :) Thank you for your compliment about my leads... About the clean rhythm gtr.. that's a nice idea! I wonder if it's hard to get the ping pong match the tempo (not just the delay tempo, but the transition between L & R if you know what i mean)

normthesamurai - thanks man! Glad you like it... took me around 30 hours to make that song. It's a hard work yeah i know.. :)

Synthz, with regard to beat sync'd delay fx, you're best not using internal fx of the trinity but VST fx. I use some delay fx which I got from this link:

http://www.madtracker.org/plugins.php?category=Effect&subcategory=Delay

Check'em out, they work well. its really cool using delay fx sync'd to your sequencer's BPM.

With the exception of a slightly over-present snare on the drums, that's a very nice track. I think I might have a new ringtone, if you don't mind. (It'll push 'About to Crash' off though....)

Very nice song, deep forest is still my favorite though :)

Thanks for the tip Axe2Grind... I've never used VST plug ins before (other than the ones in preset)... so i need to learn how to use this.. like adjusting the delay tempo to my song, since i'm already out of the midi world (only used MIDI for drums)..

GreyLoki - Cheers mate! The snare is the theme of the song hehehe.. wanna follow 'No son of mine' path... Yeah, sure you can use it for your ringtone.. are you gonna make a 5:50 ringtones? hehehe...

Thanks Jakob, cool.. you dig Deep Forest too!

I liked this piece. The drums don't sound programmed and quite like Phils works at the time. You must have spent more than a few hours on this one.

Thanks Thiago...!! :)

JamLab - Thanks Kurt, yeah i've spent around 40 hours on this piece.. after all these times experimenting, i find it more worthwhile to spend that amount of hours and getting a proper song, instead of just jamming away.. i got bored with it after a while...

Wonderful song.. And very nice piano sound. How did you create it? Iīm not that disappionted with the sounds in my triton, but yours is better! The drums are very authentic.. maybe a bit too loud, but definately a good work!

Great song, dude! I love the guitar lead sound. Also the drums, and the background is really nice. I agree with AxeGrind about the clean guitar sound, but it's not a big problem, since I only noticed it when the sound is played alone with the drums at the middle of the song.

Keep it up.

Thanks again people for the nice feedback! :)

Staccato - Thanks man for the piano feedback. I'm only using Trinity and you're using Triton, i thought Triton got a whopping 2MB or something like that dedicated to Piano samples? Trinity's default piano patch is not very good, so i tried to make it sound decent through the fx, lots of EQ work, using Stereo Parametric 4EQ and Stereo Graphic 7EQ.

Must have been a hell of a work!:D Tritonīs sounds sholud be better, but if you donīt change them the sound to weak.. so I just have to start working..:D

Hehehe.. yeah.. cause i can't live without a piano patch, and if they doesn't' sound decent, they're kinda useless. Although i haven't used a lot of pianos in my song, it's a very good tool for composing songs...
