I was snooping around on Neal Morse's website and ran across the pictures from the rehearsals of the Testimony shows. Neal's using a rather interesting looking keyboard, and it's one I've never seen before. I snagged and edited a couple of the pics to post here.

This is the best picture of it, showing the user interface. Notice along the left, it even has drawbars. Just by the layout of the controls, you can tell that it's a Roland, but the next picture confirms it.

You can see the Roland logo in the middle of the board.

The "V-Samba"? "V-Sonata"? I can't read what it says, and that darn power cord isn't helping any. I know Neal used an Alesis on the Transatlantic tour, along with some type of drawbar organ style board (CX3, VK7/8, Hammond XK2?), and this new keyboard he's using may have just been a rental for these shows, but it appears to be a pretty cool board with semi-weighted (or at least waterfall) keys and the capability to do quite a few things. Basically, my gearhead curiousity has been aroused :)

Anyone have any idea?

The V-Combo is the Roland VR-760 76key organ / piano / synth keyboard. One of the best performance keyboards, great sounds, great feel, let down by horrid "aged" keys that just look dirty! Neil produces some great sounds out of it though!

Previously, Neal used an Alesis Quadrasynth and a Roland VK7... the Roland seems to have done the rounds, because Ryo used it live with Spock's Beard, and Bert played it on the Testimony tour.

Yeah, the pic you found was a hell of a lot better than the ones I found :) Much better resolution.
