Hi guys

Is Yamaha So8 a good synth ?

It has 88 full weighted keys right ?

And is not that expensive

Im going to sell my old PSR 225 i just play as a hobbie and with a band, but i want some nice sounds (piano) and not as complicated as a triton or that

The S08 is a very nice synth, yes. It has a lovely weighted action that I'm sure you'll love, and is very well priced. The sounds are OK but not amazing, though - you may be able to find a used or ex-demo S80 for around the same price which would be a better buy for the sounds.

Whichever you choose, I'm sure you'll like it :)

It depends: are you gonna play acoustic, simple sounds or huge synths and leads? Do you like a good weighted action or a light (maybe the lightest ever :E) synth action?
I got Triton Le because I need that kind of keyboard...I don't matter much about hammer keys, I have a weighted piano where I learn most of the parts I play later on the synth. Also, Triton Le has a great software, and it's really too easy to program some great sounds. I'm having our anniversary on the first days of January :°°°) one year of intense love.
Now the choice is yours...

The default sample's a bit poor, but with some tricks you'll get something suitable for your needs. The best choice would be in this case a Triton Le 88 (16mb sample rom) but I don't know if at that price there's something better for pianos.

The thing is that i need something with a good piano (at least better than my psr 225) and good sounds, both things, i want sounds like trumpets, strings, harpichord, vibes and that stuff

The S08 has a very good piano.. and the sounds ?

Awww i dont knoww what to buy

I really don't know...if it's your first synth and you want 88 keys, I'd go for Alesis QS 8.1. It has overall good sounds even if not complex. Korg is great for strings. Yamaha has a good set of acoustic sounds but I've never loved the brand...

Hmmm interesting , I thought that the Triton LE had bad piano sound, but indeed the LE 88 (which I want to buy) has a built-in 16MB stereo Concert Grand Piano sample set .. :D
