This is a solo I did over a blues backing posted on the Holdsworth forum. The lead is a really really rough version that I made on the JD-800. Much tweaking to be done in the future, but it still sounds alright.

Please ignore 1:51-1:55. I have no idea what happened there. :p Such is the nature of improv I guess...

Hehehe.. those are quite big chords there for blues :) Sounds like sometimes you got good moments, and sometimes not.. one take recording i presume?

I like your tone! It's like the ones on 6:00 & Scarred... you got a bit of wah going on also there..nice..

nice choice of notes! Also, I like how you keep pauses and sustain notes a bit longer every once in a while, something not too common in prog circles. Good job! :)

As I've said earlier, I like your lead. I was kinda confused in Vinods lead contest when we were talking about your lead and the Jens lead. I don't know any stuff by Jens, I've only heard some soundclips and as a complete NON-expert at Jens stuff I thought your lead was a Jens lead. :o

Nice playing, your lead tone is v.nice, I like how it opens up now and again.
I reckon some jazzier chromatic type runs could have sounded quite nice over this backing, sounds more jazz based than blues. Good job none the less..:)

Hehe, yeah just a one-shot improvisation. I agree that there's a mix of good and bad in it. I was also pretty tired yesterday (overslept a fair bit)...I don't even remember myself actually recording this. I remember sitting at the keyboard, but very faintly...lol

Cool stuff, now we need a several minute long file of samples of sounds from the JD-800, the synth that "could destroy the universe if programmed to do so." ;)

I've got another clip that I made the day after it arrived so that my friend could hear it. Preset pad and lead...and the lead sounds way too guitarish (although that's what I based this rough one on). I would post it, if I had webspace for it. ;) It's not really worth listening to though...I'll be posting plenty of stuff later on that will destroy the world...or just be cool music. I haven't decided which way to go yet.
