Could someone give me directions in replacing the battery on a Kurzweil PC88?
We are a small church in a rural area - far away from help!! Thanks!

Hi,
Yes I recently did this myself. In order to open the PC88 case you need to loose all the screws that holds the plastic ends of the keyboard, and even the large screws on the rear.
Once the casing is open you will se very easily where the battery is. I sent an e-mail to one of the service centers here in Sweden and they told me that the battery type should be CR2032.
Just a warning... All my setups I had programmed earlier were gone when i powered up my PC88 again.
I hope I atleast have given you some idea of what to do ;)

It was a REAL challenge to get the ends off! But your encouragement caused us to persist. Result--found the battery, replaced it but, alas, the problem is deeper. Seems something is wrong with internal power control. So off it goes to the Doctor. Just want you to know we are very grateful for your respone. Thank you.

Any time :)
About the ends, yeah - it took a while to get them of, and also quite some time to get them on again.
