The more I play it, the more my hands hurt because I hit the keys too hard... this one's an ok take from this afternoon before things got too bad. I'd hurt my hands for the JR forum any day.

Sead's right, octave -/+ buttons.

Lyngs: Divx codec at ~200kbps does the trick, and I use VirtualDub. Here's something I typed up a while ago:

Quick guide to compressing videos easily:

1. Open video in VirtualDub.

2. Select Video, Compression from the menu (which has to be set to Full Processing Mode if it isn't), choose Divx codec and click 'configure' button. On the bitrate screen, I leave it at 1-pass, and set the bitrate around 180-220 kbps. I haven't experimented because I thought the clips were good enough of a size/quality compromise but there are more settings here and on the other tabs you can mess around with.

3. Pick Full Processing Mode in the Audio menu and then choose compression. I always pick mp3 (MPEG Layer-3 as it's listed there) and then you can choose from a few bitrates. You can also try leaving audio on Direct Stream Copy, but I'm just assuming you'd have a higher bitrate audio track on the original clip and would want to compress it too.

4. Choose "Save as AVI..." from the File menu and it will prompt you for a folder/filename and then render the new file. Done!

Some more notes: You can cut chunks from the start/middle/end of a video by marking them with the home/end keys and hitting delete. These commands are in the Edit menu too. If your audio ever seems out of sync, you can go to the Interleaving setup from the Audio menu and experiment with different +/- ms values for the offset. You can also insert a .wav file instead of using the video file's audio (audio, wav audio, choose file...). I did this for a few of the videos because I was recording the video to an old win98 laptop (old Dazzle DVC video capture crapbox won't work with XP) and it was easiest to plug into my desktop (where I had all the mp3/wav songs) and record, then copy the .mpg video here and sync them up. It had quit a few times when I was recording both video and audio to the laptop, "video stream was lost" or something like that. So without audio going into that computer, it was easier on it.

Search download.com for VirtualDub, and you still need to have the divx codec installed on its own (which you do if you got the vids to play back). Thanks for the feedback and compliments as always, and for voting!

That was soooo cool...
Even though it's not among my favourites, this solo is without a doubt one of Jordan's coolest moments, and you played it so nicely...
We've seen you play the synth, will you post some guitar videos now ?
