Oookay, Im writing something, and in the middle of the song, I need to change the time signature... is it possible? Im pretty sure it is, but I can't find out how.
Help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Sorry I can't help you out...I just have to say that Finale has always seemed like a pain in the ass. We use it at school for the theory class, and I always get frustrated because it's so tedious to use. Hopefully you're a lot better with it than I am. :D

Im pretty good with it, except I have a couple of problems similar to the one above.

Easy solution, stop writing progressive songs with time signature changes! :D

Sorry, you cannot do that. Finale notepad is notorious for its inablitity to change time and key signiture. Upgrade to Finale Plus and you can do it.

There is one complicated way to do it...

Get a the program Noteworthy Composer (free on the internet if you can find it) or a program like it. Its a VERRRRY dull program, and its real use is to make MIDI's. Write your music (you can change time sigs in it) and save it as a midi. Then in Finale Notepad, import the MIDI, and it should import it with the correct time signitures. You can do what you want to it from there. Just no more changing time sigs.

Are you kidding me? It can't even change time signatures? Wow... Buy Sibelius folks...

Note to Tabs: Finale NOTEPAD cannot change time signitures. Finale Printmusic and Finale 200* CAN change time signitures.

Finale NOTEPAD is simply a free downloadable demo.
