Hey gang- I just have a few minutes to report on the XM radio show in DC on Tuesday. Here is a quick low down.

The folks at XM were really cool and met us around 2:30 and ushered us up to there acoustic proformance center - kickass studio with mini cameras about everywhere and a recording booth just behind us. There were roughly 40 fans there to see the show.

Jordans rig was really simple an 88 key korg triton extream, and XMs steinway grand. Jordan and his assistant had preprogramed some basic lead sounds and some fairly basic backing beats to play along with. Everything he played with improvised on the spot. jordan did say that what we were about to hear was never played before and wouldnt be heard again unless someone transcribed it for him (LOL good luck)
The playing was like nothing I have ever seen in my life. Ive had the pleasure of seeing Rick Wakeman and Keith Emerson up close but never in this way. Were seated roughly 10 FEET from him on the Triton and 15 from his piano. To actually see him up this close and play this well was absolutely increadible. The show was indiscribable - there is really nothing I can say, I have played Keys on and off for about 15 years and can honestly say I have never seen playing like that in my life. Funny enough he actully made a mistake (see he is human) While reaching to turn up his string sound he accidently jumped to the next drum track and other than a second never missed a beat.
Jordan was cool enough to answer some questions regarding the Gigantour, Softwear, and the conservatory to name a few. He also came back out after a quick break to shake hands and sign autographs. Jordan is a true gent and talked to everyone there without rushing anyone or even looking at the clock as well as signing things and taking pictures. He was nice enough to take the time to tell me about his new rig for the up comming tour and joke with me and a friend about having to drive to DC from NY. HE ALSO PROMISED TO DO A SHOW IN PITTSBURGH ON THIS TOUR. Well- no he didnt but I told him not to forget us on the next show. He also mentioned that alot of his old gear would be on ebay this week so check it out.
For anyone that wasnt there I will be sure to let everyone know when XM replays the show.
Thanks Jordan it was well worth the 4 hour drive!

Im running on empty- 989 miles in one day- off to bed

I wanted to be there, but the list had already reached its max before I could clear my schedule to make sure I could be there. Sounds like it was fun though.
