If you don't know, there a silly videogame in every K2600.
It's a sort of ARKANOID.
Just follow my instructions :
- Go to Master Mode
- Press UTIL
- Now you have : MIDI - Objects - Voices - Stealer - (A Free Space) - Done
- Press on the free Space
- Now Yopu have a sort of numerical code on your display. Press SETUP button
- Welcome to K2600 GAME !!!!
(You control your bar with the Weel !!!!)
LET'S HAVE FUN !!!!!
And tell me which is your record ???
If you're in the game a drum channel is used to make sound effects while you're playing. Therefore you can use any sound you like, and there's even a special program for playing. You can find it on the net, it's called "pongware". I haven't tried it yet, but I have the files, so if you don't find it I can upload it four you.
The big thing I miss is a clock on the kurz!! Would be very helpful on a gig to check out when it's time to com to an end...

Isn't it in the manual? I can remember a page on which some options are described...
TRy this: make a string-search (press 'enter' and a number-key at the same time) and type 'hello'. I don't understand the meaning of the answer, but perhaps it's funny :-)

You also just use the Search utility to get to the game.
Press and hold the ENTER button then press a number on the numeric keypad. Type Pong or Game. Press Enter again. #3 defaults to game so you don't have to type it. :)

I worked for Kurzweil full time for almost 6 years. I was also a clinician for a couple years before that. I bought one of the first K2000R's ever produced.
But yes, now I work for Yamaha! :)
Now if you have a KSP8 with an RSP8 remote you can play Missle Command. :o
