Hello everyone,

I was planning on going to the RMP show at Irving Plaza on 5-20-05, but was hoping someone in the forums could answer a few questions...

I was curious if anyone had seem RMP before and if so, what is it like? I am a HUGE Dream Theater fan and I recently purchased Jordan's newest album, which I LOVED. A good example of my favorite style of Jordan's playing is the keyboard solo from Dream Theater's live at budokan DVD. Is that what RMP is like? Also, are they (plus Porcupine Tree) the only two bands playing? Thanks in advance!!

Come to the show. You won't be disappointed... by either RMP or Porcupine Tree. I happen to be a huge fan of both, and I've seen both bands live many, many times. You *must* see this show.

Thanks for the responce Bert!! Do you know if RMP is the opening band? Also, what could I expect from the show? Could you give me some examples of songs or styles? Thanks!!

Yeah, I got to chat with Jordan and Rod before the show, too. Very awesome stuff.

Yes, RPM is opening, and yes, I know the setlist, but that would give away all the excitement and anticipation, so you'll just have to wait for that.

Suffice it to say, there will definitely be some classic RPM stuff, perhaps some stuff from Rhythm of Time...

Porcupine Tree is playing *most* of my favorite songs as well... I can't wait!!

When I saw RMP live, I was in absolute awe for almost 48 hours straight. I couldn't believe what I just witnessed. The combination of Jordan and Rod was literally unbelievable. I've never seen anyone play a drumkit with so much passion and [place many positive adjectives here].

Of course, while following JR to the gig, I got a speeding ticket and he didn't. But in the end of the day, t'was all good.
