Boss DR-5 & Roland XP-50

greetings...

does anyone on here use a XP and a drum machine???Im trying to figure out how to sync the drum machine to my keyboard they they will start at the same time...my goal is to use drum sounds off the DR-5 & melody off the XP-50...

can anyone help me?

I dunno if either of them respond to midi start/stop commands from another device, I suspect they do. The XP does slave to Midi time code, but that mostly is going to help you with LFOs. One suggestion is to have the sequenced drum parts on the XP's sequencer (simply record the midi pattern from the dum machine to the XP) and then let the XP drive the drum machine's sounds.
