Using the zones on the K2500

I've written a patch that uses three different timbres over the the keyboard; in performance mode. I've dedicated these timbres to select octaves and set the low and high note. I'm finding that I'm only hearing one of the timbres (the one assigned to channel 1) and not any of the others. I've plugged my amplifier into the single "mono" output. If I change the channels of the other 2 timbres to channel one, than I'm finding that instead of each timbre sounding in their selected octave ranges they are, instead, sounding over the length of the keyboard. What do I need to do to overcome this?

Each zone, in Setup Mode, have its own channel. Check into MIDI page if control is set to Local, MIDI or Both. I suggest to use Both as parameter.
I also use mono mix output and I can listen to all channels successfully.
