Hello everyone! As you might of guessed, I'm new to this forum. I was introduced to Dream Theater by a friend. Of course, I was most awed by Jordan Rudess!

I'm currently finishing a degree up in Perth College in Scotland (w00t!), studying keyboard performance and some film soundtrack scoring. My website has recently been uploaded (altough it has a long way to go before completion '^^) and I have some examples of film compositions which I would like to share. These were composed with two keyboards and a sequencer:

A Yamaha Tyros
A Roland Fantom X8
Cubase 5 VST32

If you go to www.iainarmour.co.uk and look under "media", you'll see three different examples. I would love any comments or suggestions you have, maybe sign the guestbook ;).

Thanks!

Yeah, the Fantom X8 is a beast when it comes to sound, I was able to pick one up when it the second batch was released. The Piano sample is the best i've heard and played on a keyboard. The other more orchestral instruments such as the oboe and clarinet were not as accurate as I had hoped, but the synth, strings, piano and the general versitility of the X8 is in my view, breathtaking. I would suggest expanding it with the SRX boards, as you get some wicked samples on those!!! You won't be disappointed!

Thanks for the comments :)
