I have an Ensoniq SD1 and a K2550XS. I dont really want to have to carry around two keyboards especially since I use only 3-4 patches from the SD1. Is there any way I can transfer the samples or patches over? The SD1 doesn't use windows formatted disks it seems, so I cant even tell if what i did worked. ( i just saved the programs on the disk) but I can't see them on my computer or on the kurzweil. Any ideas?

Well, the first problem is that you have a non-existant keyboard. The 2550 doesn't exist.
Second, assuming you're speaking about the Kurzweil 25/2600 series, the sound manipulation in the ensoniq keyboards is different than the Kurzweil. Unless they were wave files, you *CAN'T* exchange them back and forth. The only reason the 2500/2600 CAN between themselves is because they use the same base rom sounds. Hell, even between the Trinity and the Karma, they are both very similar in terms of sound generation *the synthesis engine* but not all files will go from one to another.
That's why you're unable to see those files on the Kurzweil. Kurzweil doesn't see them because it doesn't know how to speak that other keyboard's language. It's that simple.

alright thanks... sorry i meant K2500... i pressed "5" twice instead of "0". Anyone who knows a little about the SD1 able to tell me how to extract the sample? I lost my manuals a long time ago...

does anyone know how I can use one of my sliders on the k2500 to control the volume of my secondary keyboard? I've figured out how to make it control it, but every time I switch patches it resets to max volume. Any help?
