I just got this baby purchased for me as a gift (Korg dropped expansion prices down to $99 on all options except 06/07), and I can't wait 'till it gets here. It's got a massive amount of synth and vintage key waves: moog, ARP2600, Solina, Delta, Mellotron, Prophet 5, PolySix, Oberheim, MS-20, etc etc. Combined with my Karma's already excellent selection of waves (it's already like having a vintage keys expansion built-in), it's gonna be a major synth explosion over here. :)
Anyone else have this expansion? What are your feelings on it?

Congrats dude :) Can't wait for some mp3 samples.

Hmmm...for $99 I might have to sneak one of those in.

Cool. Definitely post some clips and reviews of the sounds. I'm thinking about a Triton Extreme 88 for a master controller/workstation this summer, and those sounds would be nice to have.

My Dad (he paid $200 and never regreted it) has this one in his Triton, it has really nice sounds, Mellotrons, Pads, Leads... He loves it and I too :) The presets are very usable, but I think if you go deeper into it, you can squeeze even more out of it.
Good purchase!

Alright, I finally found the time to dig out the Karma and install the board and try out some of the presets. Here's a handful of them:
End of Time (http://www.reprehensible.net/~scrap/vintage/endoftime.mp3) (Mellotron choirs, Moog Sine)
Tape Machine 2000 (http://www.reprehensible.net/~scrap/vintage/tapemachine2000.mp3) (Mellotron strings, flute playing some Beard)
VCO-2600-OB (http://www.reprehensible.net/~scrap/vintage/VCO-2600-OB.mp3) (ARP 2600 and OB string pads, plain analog lead with some variable tremolo)
Jump (http://www.reprehensible.net/~scrap/vintage/jump.mp3) (Not a preset, my own little recreation courtesy of some Oberheim waves :))

I know that I'm a bit late, but can anyone reupload these files?
I'm looking for this Mellotron demos!
Thanks!

triton extremes have some of the EXBs pre-installed, then select samples from other EXBs...the point with the extreme is to not have to get expansion cards...so i don't think it even has expansion bays...but it probably has those sounds already!

The Extreme only has extra room for the moss board, but it holds all the sounds from Trance Attack, Orchestral Collection and Vintage Archives, and the best sounds from Dance Extreme, Studio Essentials and Pianos/Classic Keyboards collections.
