Picked it up for $3100. This thing ain't cheap but it was cheaper than the K2600xs. Took it for a test spin out of the box and put the first track down two hours after plugging it in. Very clean, very smooth. once the first track is down and figured out the rest is a breeze. I will no longer be a regular here, as my dungeon now beckons me to play with all these wonderful knobs and buttons. :P

Yes it is a very clean machine. It's basically your
one-stop do it all recording workstation.

You know up until a few months ago Tascam had an
unbelieveable resource for all Tascam digital recording
equipment owners in a tidy little forum.

They recently closed it down. :cry:
I wonder if they've archived the posts and
will bring back that forum. That's primarily
how I learned to get around my DM24.
