Hello,

I just finished this original song of mine, called Nightcrawler. Everything's done with Korg Trinity V2 & PodXT. Tell me what you think about it!

Nice!
Great gear choice anyway, Trinity is an awesome board, and by routing it to PodXT you certainly get Triton-like (or even richer) effects!
"Nightcrawler" is also a song by Judas Priest, so I suggest you to change your composition's name...If it's your first, I'm sure you can find something better! Just read a book, or watch up in the sky at night, you'll find something :D.

Thanks Deceit. I'm not very familiar with Triton sounds, apart from the ones i tried in music store :) So if you say it's close, i believe you :)

About the title, i don't worry about it.. it's not like i'm under a label or something man :P

There are plenty of songs that share the same or similar titles. Nightcrawler is not a horribly uncommon word, and I can't see there ever being an issue with two songs being named that...after all, it IS the name of an animal. It's not like I can sue someone else for having a song named "Elephant." (Although I don't have a song named Elephant...maybe I should...yes...)

cool song man. (my favorite xman by the way :)) is that guitar lead using your keyboard and the podXT? if so, thats a really nice sound for a guitar lead in my opinion! nice job man. I LIKE IT!

Shame on me, I forgot to comment on the song.

I liked it a lot. Your guitar tone is VERY realistic...I honestly would not be able to distinguish it as a keyboard if you didn't do so yourself. All the other sounds are good too, as is the song itself...cool. :)

Just meant to say you get more FXs (and I'm sure they're way better in quality)...do you control your PodXT from a midi foot controller like the Behringer FCB1010 or directly from Trinity's midi out to PodXT's midi in? I swear the second one...I really thought of getting a PodXT (actually, a Pod v2.0 'cos I'm saving up for a JD800), the only thing that kept me from looking into that was the fact I need the midi out to be available and I don't have a midi patchbay.

That's another problem, you see? Maybe this isn't the place to debate about this, but, apart from the Roland A880, do you know any other midi patchbays that need not to be plugged into a computer all the time?

Anyway, yes, the name "Nightcrawler" isn't a problem :D great sounds and an overall great composition.

@Liquid Shadow: Elephant ROCKS!

Hi synthz, i have listened many music of yours from the past, and there has never been one i didnt like. This one is very good work too. I like the rhythm and usage of sounds.
I also like your fusion playing with the sax, very good.

Deceit - I'm connecting the POD XT directly to my Trinity. It's not thru MIDI, it's using LINE OUT instead. Sounds like you haven't grasp the concept of MIDI completely. MIDI data is electronics... consisting of 1 and 0s... which make the MIDI signal useless when it's received by POD XT. It won't understand and know what to do with it :P Soooooo.. you don't have to worry about the patchbays.. and can just start get one & plug it in!

Never used the mentioned Behringer.. so i wouldn't have a clue..

errr... i've always been working with one or 2 synths max the most.. (poor financial backings :P)... i don't even know how to install MIDI patchbays hehehe..

MIDI is used for the sound mgmt and hooking it up to PC/MAC to run your Line 6 Donkey & EDIT..

Taurus - Thanks for your kind words man.. It's cool you like all the songs i've done... that's +1 motivation for me to create some more :)
