timpani sound from endless sacrifice

how could i go about making a timpani sound like the one used in Endless Sacrifice in the keyboard break thing?

or you can try to find a good sample.. there are some nice free over the net.

i wish i knew what additive synthesis is. i'm still in the beginning stages of learning how to create patches...

I loved that crazy bit in Endless Sacrifice. That's what really made me a JR fan :)

What keyboard do you have though? That's the important bit. I think I can get an expansion card for my U-20 with a good timpani sound on it, if you've a Roland board you can probably get something similiar.
