I was hoping to get some ideas for one or two piano pieces to add to my audition list for graduate school. Keep in mind I'm auditioning first and foremost for voice, but some piano might be helpful. For a little background on my ability, I've played quite a bit of Joplin, some John Field Nocturnes, some Chopin Preludes, The Gershwin Preludes, a few of Edward McDowell's works amonst many other various mid-level pieces. I have tried the "Revolutionary" Etude multiple times, but I always got too frustrated with my lack of left hand dexterity.

So...any suggestions? Preferably not a VERY well known piece.

I've never heard that one. Anything like Interstices?

Do you have the Rudess Morgenstein project.

It's the piano solo in the middle of Crossing Over.
You could also download it from the Kurzweil website as a K2500 piano demo.
(Sae it as a MIDI and you can print the sheet)

If you've downloaded the MP3 from the Kurzweil site and still think that you're able to play that IMPROVISATION, I've got the original MIDI file for you, so that you don't have to worry about the notes :P

Could you post that MIDI? I really like that solo.

Universal Mind piano solo

Blind Faith solo with added improvisations as it's already short for an audition

Michel Camilo's stuff, like On Fire, Imanaged to learn that piece by ear and I can't even read sheet music well

try some classical stuff as well, you would impress the fuck out of the judges if you got down Moonlight Sonata part 2

Good luck man!
