Hey guys, I'm new here, but figured this was the best community to turn to for advice. I am a guitar player of about 12 years now and am looking to dabble with keyboards a bit. I am kind of sticking to a budget and realize that I might not get anything great for $100, but want to check it out anyway. I am looking for the best thing that I can get for this amount of money that has the following features:

Max Polyphony
Pitch Wheel
Midi in/out
Stereo Out
Wide variety of best patches for the money

And I'm not really sure what else to look for - so any advice/help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks much in advance and I look forward to some great advice (I hope ;-)

Later and THANKS again - Mike

Only suggestion is scan ebay for anything in your price range, find something and do some research on it at some of these sites.

www.prepal.com
www.synthzone.com

You might have to settle for a Yamaha PSR or Casio. Name brand synths are going to run a slight bit more, might be able to get and Alesis or really old Korg/Roland/Yama synth for $200.

Good luck and let us know what you find, lots of people here have started on PSRs and Casios.
