Hey guys,
I loaded some sounds on my K2500, and they are distorted... I wasn't sure if I did something wrong or if the files on my disks are corrupted.. If anyone knows anything about this and can help me out, I would appreciate it! Also, is there anyway to import samples on to my K2500 as a .wav file or something and play them even though it is not a sampler? Thanks! :D

about samples... simply save'em as .wav or .aiff into your floppy and then load it... also, if you have a software like SoundForge, you can transmit samples on your Kurz via midi or via SMDI (if you have SCSI adapter on your pc).
If you have difficulties load samples, check my post "KurzFiler" and download this software. Use it to create basic patches with your own samples and, then, load it on your Kurz.
See ya

Go to program editor, from the ALG page highlight the AMP -function and press edit. From there you can lower the signal level. If that doesn't help... Well, then someone else should reply to this post.
A few things can cause distortion in Programs when loaded into a Kurz,
-Bad sample ram installed
I've previously upgraded with some bad
16mb sample ram, it increased me from 64mb to 96mb but it caused stange undesirable distortions when I loaded lots of ram samples.
Solution: I bought good 16mb ram tested and known to work with the Kurz
-Hmmm? A program editted by a noob that is overloading various stages?
-Possibly it was programmed to have dist? :P
-Corrupt file (I've found a few on the net)
If anything really weird occurs from auditioning (.krz) files, I just do a hard reset to restore my presets.

Thanks for the feedback guys!
-Rexx, I know that the sounds weren't meant to have distortion because there are at least 50 or more of them that are distorted.
MusicMan, the only other things that cause distortion on several programs loaded are bad sample ram (how much ram do you have?) or corrupt files.
The diagnostic test will read bad sample ram as "PASS" but improper ram will not work in a Kurzweil
