Curious how, with all the possibilities, we only hear the piano from JR and TC...maybe they were bursted by the infinite power of that board...
Anyway I'd still take Yammy ->pianos<- over that any day :D.

Great, he reduced an $8000 piece of machinery purportedly capable of nearly anything to a gibbering heap of cocktail piano. BORING.

I hope in time Korg will come up with some cooler demos of this thing that actually show off what it is capable of. I mean, who cares about the piano sound when youre watching some shitt compressed video clip?

I will say though that the piano playing was nice. But the Coster clip was much cooler, but still not really doing anything that a normal workstation couldnt handle (although there might have been some Karma action going on in the bass part).

i agree...i want to see jordan go to town with this thing and do some CRAZY stuff...how about showing him developing some sounds?? as;ldkfjas;ldkfj bad demos...i can't tell if that's a casio piano from that shit video! i wish they'd put more full quality sound clips if they really want to show off the piano.

I would guess stuff like that's gonna be coming later.. they just wanted to show some famous artists trying the thing out.. i doubt any of them spent more than a handful of minutes with it..

They've got a clip of Derek up too.. cool clip as well, has some organ wanking and layering stuff at the end but still doesn't even come close to what the thing can probably do..

Yeah exactly, this biggest proove of this is RA. Listen to the album version and then to the Extreme version. The extreme totally sucks! I mean the drum samples are crap, bad effects etc.

These vids (http://www.karma-lab.com/oasys/) might make you guys happy :P cory showed me them last night real late and it woke me right up. its not JR, but these videos really show how much this badboy can do. dont know if this has been posted here yet, but since it seems like nobody has seen many good quality videos of the OASYS yet, i thought i'd post it for u. enjoy!

EDIT: i just remembered too jeff, the main korg website has some nice mp3 demos that show off the piano. the "love embraces all" mp3 is a nice one for piano. all these things i meant to show better quality in actual sound compared to the streaming videos, not necessarily better playing or ideas :wink:

Yeah- At the NAMM show I had just walked up to the instrument totally cold- meaning I had no time with it prior to sitting down with it and never touched it before! THat's why I had my friend just call up a piano sound for me. At the end of the clip I am jamming on a pretty good stock lead sound. It is amazingly powerful and deep. When I get one of my own, THEN we will all see what I can really make happen on it!
