hey I just find out that I only have like 36k of permanent RAM memory on my rack....I wanted to load some objects and coudnŽt....so is there anyway I can do that??, on the manual says that I just can expand it to 1.5Mb....could I make it more than that??
And finally If I wanted to load some .wav samples it wouldnŽt be enough space....so how the hell should I do that?
thanks :?

In the Kurz you have 2 different types of RAM.
The first one is the "object" RAM. Normally it is 512 kb and it can be expanded up to 1.5 Mb with the expansion called "P-Ram".
You have to buy it from Kurzweil or from a music shop.
It is linked with a power battery, so when you switch off your Kurz, nothing will be lost.
The second one is normal SIMM Ram, the same used for computers.
You can have at the maximum 128 mb, and you need it to load samples of any type (kurz, akai, wav, ecc...)
But that one is not linked to battery, so when you switch off your Kurz, you will have to reload all your samples.
This is the reason why Jordan uses emergency batteries in his live rig !

ah, I see, but if for example I would like to load some .wav files and make a program with them, how can I load them into the regular RAM to make the program?
And when IŽm done how should I load them again? Sorry to bother!

You have to load the sample first (in this case it's a .wav file).
Then you'll work on it and you will create a program which is stored in your Kurz (in the p-ram).
When you switch on your kurz again, you will have to load only the .wav file.
In the load section, there is the command "merge" which is create to re-load all the samples in the right position.
Anyway, it's not complicated. You'll manage it !
