Heres a topic about music that is a little left field.......

Mid last year i went to london for work and my mate got me The Dirt (an autobiography about Motley Cru). Im 25 and i havnt read a book since high school, but i LMAO reading this one!!!!

anyway i was wondering if anyone has read any other good autobiographies / biographies about musicians or bands......even promoters........

i wanna read some more but i dont know of too many other ones.......

others ive read were
stairway to heaven....autobiography of the led zep tour manager
scuse me while i kiss the sky, a Hendrix biography......which sucked ass big time!!!!

can anyone tell me of ones that they have read?

are you two the only people who post on this forum anymore  :D :D

Neil Pert would be a good read....
i saw rush last year at wembley arena.....they blew me away!!!

so the book just takes you though the years where he lost his wife and daughter?

or does it cover everything about rush as well?

Not much about Rush in it really. Just how he coped with all the losses, which was basically by riding his motocycle some 50,000 miles.

A great read, however. A lot of insights to his personality.

If you're interested in jazz and aren't bothered by language or reference to adult material, pick up Miles, Miles Davis' autobiography.
