Hey guys!
In 24 hours and 21 minutes, (that's 13:00 tomorrow) I'll be performing at my conservatory audition in Århus.
I'm starting to get a little bit nervous right now, but hopefully things will go without problems.
I'll be performing Stella by Starlight and one of my own compositions, Frozen Fantasie (rearranged for trio with a swing- and and a funksection added) both tunes in a triosetting, at the first part of the audition. In the second part, I will be tried out in improvisation, imitation and in accompanying a groove.
So, wish me luck, this will decide my future...

Good luck, and don't worry yourself too much. You're not exactly a sub-par pianist. I'm sure you'll do fine. :D

A little update:
The audition went well. I wasn't really nervous, as I had really good preparation-opportunities prior to the audition - the censors (the judges) had lunchbreak just before my audition, so I had the last 45 mins before the audition to warm up at the grand piano in the auditionroom.
My playing was fine - it wasn't perfect, but in that particular situation I couldn't have played much better.
One of my censors was Pierre Dørge, who some of you perhaps have heard of - he is worldfamous due to extensive touring with his "New Jungle Orchestra".
Two days ago I recieved a letter from the conservatory, telling me that I had passed through to the second round of the audition, which will take place a date between the 22nd and 30th January.
This second audition will include a theory-test, a relative pitch-test (hearing intervals, chords, chordprogressions, etc), a prima vista-test (sight-reading at first sight), a comping-test, a test in SSB (imitating handclaps, dancing, playing percussion, and stuff like that) and finally a conversation where I'll tell something about myself, my ambitions and such things.
Thanks for all your support, guys, I'm almost there. :)
Congratulations man! That must feel good, don't worry you'll do fine I'm sure as you've proven to be a more than average piano player.

If it's a contest you'll win. You rule Lyngs. Fantasie Impromptu still blows me away. GOOD LUCK MAN!!!
