I use my Waldorf Pulse analog Synth for Scratch like Sounds.
Potamento on, grab the lowest C and then play the highest C. With some tweaking you can get some good sounds.
Don't know if this works with the XP.
Maybe look into the Voice list if it has Scratch Samples!

It will most likely not work with an XP-30 (I#ve got one, too), but Jordan plays many different notes for that scratching part. And he uses his ribbon controller for every note, so you won't be able to cover that part with an XP-30 anyway ;)

I'd like to help you with that problem, because I also have a XP-30, but I wouldn't know how to make a scratch sound with onyl the XP... sorry...

The scratch sound is from the Karma - there is a special Insert Effect called 'Scratch', which allows you to scratch any selected waveform back and forth with the joystick (or in Jordan's case, since he's controlling it from the Kurzweil, the ribbon or mod wheel).

Does someone here have a "scratch" patch for a K2500XS?

I own a TLe76 and it has scratch too :) but I'm not using it much.
I love Korg Synths and needed something light as Le...unfortunately the key action feels like feathers, it has no weight so I find myself a bit stranded when changing from piano to synth. This often causes me to use a heavier touch that makes me lose expression. I'm waiting for suggestions about a piano-weighted master keyboard (seen MC1000 and MC2000 :DDD they are absolute!).
I'm even thinking about selling my Roland AX-1...I find it funny no more!

Try to use an algorithm with the noise keymap. May be this will do it.
