I tried to load am Standard MIDI File into my K2500, but I got the error that the file is too large to be loaded completely.
The file has 92 kB - I don't think it's a very large file, it's just "I Will Survive", that's nothing compared to Jordans Demo Song I think. What memory does the sequenzer use? I found it uses the program memory, but I have more than 1 Mb after deleting most of my programs and it still doesn't work. Are there other limitations for the sequencer, or what do I have to delete to have enough memory for this (small) Midi-file??

The issue is the sequencer memory structure on the K2500/K2600. Each individual sequence has a maximum of 64k available. You chain sequences together to get around this.

Thanks, I tried another MIDI-File with less kB (about 50) and it worked fine. I'll cut some parts from "Survive" to get it smaller.
AxiomBass: I have both Format 1 and 0, I'll take a look at it but up to now both worked fine.

BTW: there are some MIDI-Files that are merged together on one track if I open it in Cubase. Is there a way to divide it into the individual parts again?
