If anyone here is looking for a module to pop in a Roland SRJV card thats a good route to go. I dont think its very powerful MIDI wise but if you want it just to add some tones you cant go wrong with adding either the Orchestra I / II, Vintage Synth, or Keyboards of the 60s&70s cards. You should also be able to find any of those cards used for cheap.

I've got 4 of 5 slots for my cards full and because of I know which one to buy as "last" one, I never bought the "last" one ;)
I have Session, Techno, Orchestral, Vocal... Which, do you think, would be most senseful for me?
I think I paid about triple that for mine (ouch!!!) and it didn't come with the ^%#@ programming cd!!!!!!

Do Jv1010 has the same Sound Engine as the Jv2080? or like the 1080 too..just to know the differences!

Same as JV-2020 as far as I know.

Same core sound engine (logic) at the same bit rates.
D/A convertors are different. they sound just a bit different. The Roland guys intimated that they used better (newer) convertors. The user group often prefers the older hardware.
The user interface makes it difficult to do complex stuff with it even though the power is there. Using sound-diver (OEM version comes with the unit) is essential and even then ....
Still if you are a Korg/Kurzweil person and you want a few Roland tones thrown into a studio mix, or (as someone mentioned) you just want a few sounds from one of the expansion cards, it's a steal. :D

Jerry,
This kinda reminds me of a sale guitar center had about 4 or 5 years
ago when Guitar Center blew out their Alesis Wedge FX units
for that same price (savings of about 600%).
We all have to keep our eyes open for sales like that (which I
unfortunately missed).
The latest is word is that GC was blowing out Moog Voyagers for
$1799 until Nov. 30.

Depending on your other boards I'd go for the Vintage Synth card. It will give you some nice pads, and some leads.
If you need B3, EP, and other keyboard type tones get the Keys of the 60s / 70s.
