Ive been working on Acid Rain recently and Ive a typical techncial question .
Id like to know if anybody knows what fingering (hands) is used by Jordan (or any other keyboardist capable to play it) in this sequence after unison where Jordan plays fast triplets (d-a-g,c#-a-g, b-a-g etc...)

It's all with the right hand, each triplet ends with 2, 1. The starting finger almost doesn't matter as long as you can comfortably reach the note, but a good way for the start would be 521 421 321 421 521 521. That's most likely what JR does, staying in a scale position where possible & moving the pinky higher where needed.

seeing as how JR's lead is monophonic *at least in that section* it's actually easier to hold your thumb on the G and tap the rest with the other fingers in the same fingering JB mentioned.

I do the first note of each triplet with the right hand and the 2 other notes with the left hand with fingers 2-3. The notes in the right hand are played in a scale way.

that would be fine, however there's the whole note progression in the LH that's holding octaves with the guitars. If you wanted to leave a part out, I'd also recommend that way as well, however in this case, to play it "authentically" I'd play it like Baker mentioned.

I gotta admit that Bakerman way is the way. Gotta go practice now!

Isn't that cheating, technically speaking? (just kiddin'!! god bless monophonic leads!!)

Bakerman's method is the most natural way, but I think it will be a nightmare to reach a tempo and fell comfortable with it. I personally play it in a bit tricky way: repeating notes by right (3-2) and upper notes by left using scale fingering. Usage of 3-2 in the right is much easier than 2-3 in the left(in the 2 hand method you maintioned here). Have you considered it? Tempo is reachable after 5 minute practise...
But probalby Jordan plays it all by one hand and reaches tempo with no warm-up....

He'd probably play it single handed at an even higher speed on the left hand too if he had too... Actually, he'd probably manage to do it on both hands on contrary motion (probably).
