It was mentioned some time ago, that the K2600-buttons are better than the K2500-buttons (keyboard, not rack). Just because they don't break that easy, or is it another material, another 'feeling' or what? I just thought about changing them on my K2500 because I don't like the feeling of them, but I don't know if K2600-knobs would solve this... and what would it cost?

Thanks in advance!

Well, I bought about 25 from Brett *Togakure* because they ARE made of a slightly more durable material - they're less likely to break and cause your kurzweil to start doing things on it's own.

The buttons are attached to a mainboard on the Kurzweil, the parts you press are just plastic peices that push the buttons down. They feel the exact same.

Anyway, I had to get a number of them replaced because they weren't clicking anymore, and when you played to hard, they'd trigger the keypresses on their own. Pain in the ass...

I want a synth with buttons like a computer-keyboard. I've never seen a computer-keyboard with broken buttons, they're just better... thanks!

I read a review on that neko workstation on a spanish key magazine and they said it wasn't that great. It's obviously very powwerfull but not really practical since it weighs a frikin' ton and is literally HUGE. Also it's very expensive. You can get a good workstation (ie triton extreme/motif es) and a powerfull computer for the same price or less and it would give you even more power and posibilities on a more practicall platform (you just take your workstation to gigs, with stuff loaded on compact flash, or even your workstation AND your pc if it's a laptop).
