It's not really a "problem" so much as an "I don't know" thing: I just got an external mAudio MobileUSB Soundcard *Thanks Emeric - it's awesome* but I have an issue that I'm not sure about.
When I arm a track for recording *In Sonar* or press record in CoolEdit 2 - I get a high pitched whine of sorts. *It's the note B5, not that it matters* Anyway, The monitoring is fine, I've got next to no latency *under 2.5 ms* and I thought it COULD be the cords, however when I have my Kurzweil plugged into it, I can play fine without any problems. *Direct through or monitoring?*
There's no problem while I'm simply playing it straight through, so I know the cords are fine. Phantom power is off and I'm using the Channel 1 as Left sound and Channel 2 as Right sound. *that works just fine as well*
The cords are fine
Sonar works fine - I didn't have this problem with my cheap ass Soundblaster 5.1 card
The Kurzweil's fine - Used it with an mAudio 24/96 a few days ago - still no problems
I'm thinking it could be the ASIO drivers? *Thanks Scrap, I'll check it out when I get home from work, where i am right now lol*
I'm just looking for OTHER things it could be as well. I've tried using everything from 24 bit to 16 bit, from 22100 to 48000 recording bitrates and nothing changed. I've used both Sonar, and Cooledit and it does it in both programs *I have yet to try in Cubase SX, but I'll do that again when I get home as well*
ANY suggestions would be appreciated!
*By the way, I'm using XP pro, SP1, 1.0 gig/ram, etc.. I think that's the majority of the problem*
PLEASE HELP!!! lol
