Thought I'd give you guys a heads up on this auction. I've decided to get rid of my K2000 to make room for newer gear. It's a K2000 loaded with both Orchestral and Contemporary ROM blocks, 2.0GB -internal- SCSI HDD, and 4MB of sample RAM (expandable to 64MB).

If any of you have any questions about it, feel free to ask me. :)

To be honest, I've been spoiled by the super bright LCD backlights of more recent synths. And since I spend a -lot- of time programming my own sounds, it's important that I'm able to see everything clearly on the screen, or have lots of knobs on the front panel to easily tweak parameters, or at least have really powerful PC-based editor software to work with. To that end, I'll probably end up saving the money for an Alesis Ion, or perhaps go for broke and get a Fantom X7, which has an impressive semi-modular synth architecture. Or hell, maybe even a TE 76 + MOSS to compliment my Karma - I'd like to try pulling the odd/even trick on the Extreme to share polyphony between it and the Karma (you can do this with a Karma+Karma, or Karma+Triton/Triton+Karma).
