Sorry for all the new topics I keep posting, but I've honestly never touched MIDI and was reading about it in the user's manual for my synthesizer. Apparently you need the cables (duh) And also a "Midi Interface" to hook up to your computer. I presume this is true, so does anyone know if this MIDI interface is expensive at all, because all this keyboard gear is really setting me back. thanks.

You can pick up fairly cheap USB midi interfaces (from the likes of M-Audio/Midiman and Edirol) that'll do the job fine if your sound card doesn't have MIDI. I have the M-Audio Midisport 4x4. but that's probably overkill if you only have 1 board (I use 3). I'd guess you're probably looking at around $40-50 for a single port one, and maybe $70 or so for a two port interface.

Look behind your pc. If a game/joystick port exists (usualli a yellow large "parallel like" port) you have a MIDI interface. You only need a PC-->Midi cable.
